synopsisitaly, 2034: after a coup, a military-style government takes over. civil rights are suspended, abortion is outlawed, and minorities are persecuted.rebel groups operate clandestinely to help women get safe abortions and assist migrants crossing the border into france. to communicate safely they use books, underlining words to form ciphers.three friends.
their battle names: stendhal, mansfield and buzzati.
they are partisans, fighting back.

the resistance

locationsthis is dystopian film set in a rural setting.
we are shooting on 16mm film, using mostly natural light to convey the raw beauty of the landscape around ovada, our main location. small town on the border between liguria and piemonte region, we have been welcomed with great enthousiasm from the municipality.
